To align interest

Fledgerr helps startups' employees to own and transfer equity. We offer standard equity issue agreements, standard transfer agreements and low transaction costs. We can't magically create a market for you, but we can give you the most recent price information, and a clear capitalization table so everyone knows where they stand. That includes when new equity has been created but not yet given out. We don't believe in 'good leaver' / 'bad leaver' lock-ins: if you've earned equity, and you've passed the date when you can take ownership, it's yours.

To focus on the long-term

We help companies commit to their purpose, values and targets. We believe that committed companies get greater trust, staff passion and engagement. This is good in itself, and it lowers their costs. Fledgerr's standard corporate structure includes an independent Mission Council that reports on progress and sets executive benefits accordingly.

To support investment

Fledgerr increases information and liquidity. It lets you see in aggregate what other employees, managers and investors think of the company through trends in supply, demand and prices. This makes investors more willing to invest, and gives employees options to cash in some value from their equity, or invest more by buying into the company. Fledgerr aims to offer employees gradual adjustment of equity holdings: liquidity 'like honey not like water'.

To build growth

Fledgerr provides a platform to communicate Purpose and a legal structure to share economic benefit. We believe the confidence and energy from a shared purpose and shared benefit help all employees work together on innovative solutions that grow value. Fledgerr will reinvest half of its profits in widening access to this support approach.

To help move towards net-zero

Fledgerr is committed to tracking progress against Targets for each company on its platform. This means that before you join a company you can assess its progress and the progress attributed to each Director during their various periods of office. While you are working at the company you can co-operate with colleagues to seek ways to improve the company's progress.
